Make a comments widget in 10 minutes

I've updated the Recent Comments widget on the sidebar. Given the limitations of my Blogger template, I made use of the Blogger comments RSS feed + Yahoo! Pipes + Google Reader's clip. It now displays the author's name, followed by an excerpt of the comment (still dont' know how to extract X number of words from a feed element in Pipes - anyone know how?)



Is this widget better than the previous version?

Does Yahoo! Answers work?

On this account, YES.

I need to get to Alexandra Technopark in Singapore later this afternoon via MRT, and figured I'd put Yahoo! Answers to the test as my googling returned very little information on directions.



Within an hour of posting my question, I received a detailed answer from PoshBerries. The thread now contains an answer offering an alternative from Frankenstein.

I'm not sure whether the answers are accurate, but it does seem fairly substantial. I will of course know when I travel later today =)

Yahoo! Answers Malaysia

Yahoo! Answers has launched a subsite for Malaysia. Interface looks decent, although there aren't any *real* rewards for participating (besides earning points, and jumping up levels). I only found out about this after coming across a full page ad in The Star's Wknd.Metro (pg M5).
