Right brain or Left brain?

Which one are you?

If you see the dancer turning clockwise, then you probably use more of the right side of the brain. Similarly, anti-clockwise, and you're more likely to use the left-side.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe
RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

BEWARE: this may permanently re-wire your brain! I first saw the dancer spinning anti-clockwise, but have since been able to see her spinning both ways.

Yang Berhormat, Yang Berusaha & Yang Berbahagia

Know the difference between the YBs above?

According to a letter published in the NST (Letters, page 27, June 5, 2007):
  • Yang Berhormat: for politicians
  • Yang Berusaha: for civil servants
  • Yang Berbahagia: for the public

So, Yang Berbahagia, I hope you've learnt something new today =)
