Money Matters: stories from the weekend
The Good: Took my buddies out for a movie. We spent RM22 for 4 tickets on a Saturday night. Made possible with the OCBC Titanium credit card which offers a 1 for 1 on all movie tickets at Cathay Cineleisure. Oh, and Iron Man rocks!
The Bad: Got charged RM1.30 for a glass of warm water at Gurney Drive in The Gardens Mid Valley. Mel and I had a glass each. RM2.60 + 5% tax + 5 sen rounding = RM2.75 just for water! Isn't there a law against this? The Good: we won't be going back there again.

Rombongan Sambil Belajar
UPDATED WITH PHOTOS.
Ranga giving us a lecture on how boxes are made. Every "type" of box needs it's own plate. Plates are customised with rubber pieces and blades between them. It's like an art form!

Some of the nice looking boxes made in Pandan Indah. I'll never look down on those mosquito coil boxes ever again.

We also got a tutorial on the printing process. CMYK, yadda, yadda. Oh, and then Ranga taught us how to spot the micro-lettering on the Ringgit notes. Felt like a scene out of Ocean's 11.

A couple of funny sights. Something's missing from the tool collection. Reminded me of "Kemahiran Hidup".

And then we got treated to a super lunch. Steamed fish in spicy bean paste sauce alongside some yau mak and taugeh. Awesome!

Ranga, thanks for the tour! It was super. I don't think I'll be visiting many factories in my lifetime, so this will always be a highlight (Awww...)

Ranga's taking us on a tour of his printing factory. It's huge! Never knew you had to do so much just to make a box!
Watch this space, I'll post photos here.
